From the Chair
Hello Section 1206 ASQ Members!
The 2018 New Year has begun! I am pleased to be on the ASQ board for section 1206 and wanted to introduce myself. My career has spanned almost 12 years in Quality and Regulatory Compliance experience in the industry of food, packaging, dietary supplements, medical devices and cosmetics that support strategic initiatives for the business as a whole . I currently hold the position of Quality Specialist & Lead ISO 13485:2016 auditor for Bemis HealthCare Packaging.
In 2018, we would like to diversify our monthly meetings by showcasing different business segments/industries in order for our members to get acquainted with different businesses in the area and adding value to our members. Quality plays an integral role in the future and how we use quality in what lies ahead.
Please join us at the upcoming meeting at Generac Power Systems, Inc. on Monday, Jan 15, 2018! Founded in 1959, Generac was the first to engineer affordable home standby generators, along with the first engine developed specifically for the rigors of generator use, and is now the #1 manufacturer of home backup generators. Generac manufactures the widest range of power products in the marketplace including portable, residential, commercial and industrial generators. The Oshkosh facility, acquired in 2014, manufactures large (150 kW – 2 MW) generators for commercial and industrial applications.
If you would like to showcase your company and get added to the scheduled meetings for 2018, please contact us – we would love to visit!
ASQ has a vision to become a world leader in quality and process control. Let’s work together to bring this new vision to life.

New Website Coming Soon!
The Board recently decided to partner with StarChapter, a management software company serving local chapters of professional and trade associations in the United States and Canada. In addition to website maintenance, this software will help manage event registration, e-mail communication, and other aspects of the Section’s operations. We hope these tools will help provide more meaningful and timely content via the website and e-mail, and allow us to better serve you. We expect the new website to be launched in early March.
